Let’s talk about feelings...
Did you know that teaching your kids about emotions is one of the first steps to enhance their emotional intelligence?
Emotional intelligence (EQ) is a huge predictor of future success in children and adults. After all, who wouldn’t want more confident, secure, and resilient kids?
To sum it up there are 5 components:
1. Recognize your own emotions.
2. Learn to manage the emotions you have.
3. Recognize emotions in others.
4. Learn, practice, and maintain how to manage relationships with others.
5. Have goals, insight and the motivation to achieve those goals.

There are many ways to teach children to recognize their own emotions: read, model, and talk about them!
One creative way to introduce emotions to young children is by using feelings finger puppets.
Who am I kidding, this is helpful for adults too!
