My Kids LOVE This Book!
Overall100%
I have been on the hunt for a high-quality book to help my kids learn about their emotions and I found it in Millie and Her Tangled Thoughts. My 3 kids, (3,7,9) absolutely loved this book! Krystin did such an excellent job with explaining CBT to kids through her rhymes and real-life examples. It is written so that you can cover one or many of the cognitive distortions in one sitting. My kids were begging me to read more and were truly learning. I even picked up some tips along the way! I highly recommend this beautifully illustrated book!

My new go-to book for cognitive behavioral therapy!
Overall100%
I read this book with my nine-year-old daughter and she immediately identified with sweet Millie. Krystin does an amazing job of walking the readers through each cognitive distortion and applying it to everyday situations in children's lives. The illustrations are just precious and the characters come to life as they navigate the tangled thoughts of the anxious mind. This is the kind of book that I can re-read with both of my girls and my clients and they will learn something new each time. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this book that so beautifully shows God's love for his children and with Him by their side, they can untangle anything.

Love, love, love, this book!

I have often struggled to remember and accurately identify the ten cognitive distortions. This book makes it so simple. As I am working with my kids or even struggling myself, a picture from Millie pops into my head, giving me a tool to help my kids and myself to untangle our confusing thoughts and feelings. What a blessing to be able to go to this resource to spur my kids to identify for themselves, healthy ways of relating to the world around them.
I love the realistic illustrations and catchy phrases that trigger a connection in our brains to our own experiences. I am excited to explore the many ways we can enhance our emotional intelligence and build strong moral characters!

As a parent, after reading this book with my children, I am ready, feeling more equipped to guide conversations on effectively managing emotions and creating healthy thought patterns. The critical and essential messages in this book will be positively impacting my family for years to come. This book is a must have in your children's library! Thank you Krystin for empowering parents in their critical role as their children's first teachers and for reminding us that Jesus is the ultimate teacher and will show us how to change the quality of our thoughts for the better.
